Once a VAT return Obligation has been submitted there is a liability to make a payment - most businesses will pay their VAT by Direct Debit so this will take place automatically.
The status of any VAT obligation sent via the Making Tax Digital platform can be displayed using the View Vat Liabilities option.
Entering a Date range will display any VAT returns which were due in that range, the amount of VAT and the amount outstanding
